Engine————

2.7L (164 cu in) Turbocharged flat six engine, 650 HP

Developed by March Engineering and designed by Adrian Newey, this car was delivered to the South African motorsport team Kreepy Krauly Racing for use in IMSA GT Racing season for 1984. Featuring a 2.7 liter twin turbo Porsche engine, it was considered one of the premier GTP cars of the era. During the 1984 season, the car was able to consistently qualify within the top 10 while qualifying on the podium at Pocono and the 3 Hours of Daytona. At the end of the season, this car was able to finish the championship in fifth place, with a win at the 24 Hours of Daytona, and nine top six finishes. The last race entered while being owned by Kreepy Krauly was the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the car received modifications to maintain eligibility under the FIA regulations. After the Le Mans, the Kreepy was sold to privateer teams, who continued to race it in GT spec series with a brand new livery. At the end of 1986, this car was officially retired from competing in GT series and in 2018 the livery was restored to the original “Kreepy Krauly” livery used in 1984. This car has a FIA Historical passport and has been raced in the 2019 and 20 Heritage event at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
